The Carp Tank is only a short 3 hour 30 minute drive from Calais near the town of Vitry-Le-François. There are many shops nearby, including supermarkets (Intermarche/Lidl/Aldi) and also McDonald's/Burger King/Pizza Shops.

The train is the fastest option (around 35 minutes) with the boat taking around 2.5 hours. We suggest you aim for a 6am or earlier crossing so you arrive on time.

If you choose to drive on the toll road, the cost is approximately €26.80 (for a vehicle under 2m in height) from Calais. This is easily payable by card or Apple Pay at the barriers.
